Why gutters rot the fascia first
A gutter is fastened to the fascia board, and the fascia is the piece of trim that caps the ends of your rafters. When the gutter overflows, backs up behind itself, or holds standing water because it has pulled away from level, the water sits against that board.
Fascia is usually painted pine. It absorbs, swells, loses its paint film from behind, and goes soft. From the ground it still looks like a straight white line, right up until a fastener pulls through and a section of gutter sags. By then the rafter tails behind it are often wet too, and the repair has grown from a board to a structural detail.
Soffit is the underside panel that closes the eave off, and it is also the intake half of your roof ventilation. Blocked or damaged soffit vents starve the attic of intake air, which cooks the shingles from underneath in an Oklahoma July and drives up the cooling bill at the same time.

Seamless gutter, rolled to length on site
Seamless gutter is formed on a roll-former at your house, so each run comes off the machine as one continuous piece cut to the exact length of that eave. The only joints in the whole system are at corners and outlets.
That matters because joints are where gutters fail. Sectional gutter from a home center is joined every ten feet with a lapped seam and sealant, and every one of those seams is a future drip that will stain the wall below it and rot the fascia behind it.
We hang on hidden hangers screwed into the fascia rather than the old spike-and-ferrule method, which works loose with every freeze-thaw cycle. Runs are pitched deliberately toward the outlets so nothing stands, because standing water is weight, mosquitoes, and in January a block of ice hanging off your trim.

Sizing downspouts for an Oklahoma downburst
Oklahoma rain does not arrive politely. A spring thunderstorm can drop a couple of inches in under an hour, and a gutter system sized for an average year will simply overshoot during the storms that actually cause damage.
Two things fix that. Capacity, which usually means six inch gutter rather than five on long runs and steep pitches, because the cross-sectional area is meaningfully larger. And outlets, because a gutter can only empty as fast as its downspouts let it: more outlets, larger downspouts, and no single run trying to drain half a roof through one corner.
The other half is where the water goes once it is down. A downspout that discharges against the foundation has moved the problem from your fascia to your slab, so we extend and direct them away from the building.
